Why do this workshop?

This course is for anyone with an interest in reducing their impact on the planet through their food habits – from how we shop to the foods we eat and where they come from.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand why we need food and recall the types of foods we eat.
  • Describe the food production system in Ireland and identify how it works.
  • Apply your knowledge of the food system to evaluate how it is impacting our planet.
  • Understand the future of food production.
  • Develop actions we can take as individuals, communities, and systems now and in the future which are necessary to help reduce the impact our food is having on our planet.
