About this Workshop

Learn how to spot a fast fashion brand and be a sustainable fashion user! In this workshop you will explore what a fast fashion brand looks like, and how it impacts people and the planet. You’ll also explore actions we can all take to be more conscious with our clothes. This is a pre-recorded workshop – watch the video and do the activities using the materials provided!

Why do this workshop?

This course is for anyone with an interest in reducing their impact on the planet and living a more sustainable life! Fast fashion is relevant to us all – we all wear clothes! 

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to: 

  • Define ‘Fast Fashion’.
  • Identify and analyse a fast fashion brand.
  • List some of the ways in which the fashion industry can be harmful.
  • Explain ‘Greenwashing’ in the fashion industry.
  • Identify actions we can take to reduce the harmful impacts of the fashion industry.

Pre-Workshop Information

The session will run for approximately 90 minutes and this includes time for you and your participants to complete activities and topic discussions. We have provided guideline times for activities, however please feel free to spend whatever time you feel is appropriate to ensure your participants gain the most from the activities. Instructions and printable materials for the activities are provided in the first lesson of this course; you are invited to view these before you intend to start the workshop. You’ll also receive helpful follow-on resources for post-workshop environmental action!
