About this Workshop
Create your own environmental action project in just 6 simple steps!
In the 6 Steps to Success workshop, we’ll guide you through planning and carrying out an action project from start to finish, to bring about positive change for the environment. Learn how to be global citizens, taking environmental action locally, for a positive impact globally.

Why do this workshop?
Do you want to take action for the environment with your friends or classmates? Are you taking part in the Young Environmentalist Awards? Then this workshop has everything you need to plan your very own environmental action project!
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Define the term Sustainable Development.
- Understand what it means to be a global citizen.
- Create your own action project in 6 simple steps!
Pre-Workshop Information
The session will run for approximately 90 minutes and this includes time for you and your participants to complete activities and topic discussions. We have provided guideline times for activities, however please feel free to spend whatever time you feel is appropriate to ensure your participants gain the most from the activities. Instructions and printable materials for the activities are provided in the first lesson of this course; you are invited to view these before you intend to start the workshop. You’ll also receive helpful follow-on resources for post-workshop environmental action!
